Dear Declan,
I truly cannot believe that 5 months have already gone by. You have changed so much! You are already quite the conversationalist and observant fellow. I've eased my way back into work and you spent some wonderful bonding time with Daddy. He did admit to one day that was a bit rough but you guys had a good time working on the house and fixing cars.

This has been SUCH a busy month! We have gotten through it all with a few bumps along the way. You had your first cold (and then a second one) which was no fun.
Daddy has been dropping you off at daycare each day and we have had fun picking out your outfit of the day. Even Uncle Chris gets in on the fun and has matched his outfit to yours - all he is missing is the hat!
The weather has warmed up so we have spent plenty of days out in the sun. You loved feeling grass on your toes and looking around at all the new sights and hearing the new sounds. This was the first time that you sat up on your own without help and you were so proud of yourself! You even rolled over once to get off your belly to look up at the clouds.
It was Daddy's birthday on the 7th and we went out to celebrate and have brunch. You wanted to join in on the fun and toast with Mommy's mimosa!
One of your favorite things this month was when you tried frozen banana for the first time! You absolutely loved sucking on the cold fruit and showing me how you could hold it all by yourself. I bet it helped make your gums feel a little better too. You did a great job at holding and sucking on it and enjoyed every minute.
When your Grandma Joe was up to visit we even got to find our first Geocashe! Hopefully this will be the start of some new adventures hiking all around the globe to find these special spots. We were surprised how close to home this one was located.
You attended your first prom this month too! Okay, so it was "baby prom" and just an excuse to get together and dress up the kiddos. You looked smashing in your 007 tux and even got mention for best dressed with a tiny rose in your lapel
