Pregnancy, Loss and the Road to Come

Our road to baby began sadly with the death of my grandmother in May 2011.  The funeral was difficult for my entire family and was a bit of an eye opener for us.  We realized, and partially selfishly, that we didn't want the other to be alone should one of us meet that end.  Well, through lots of talks we discovered that we were finally ready to start a family.  Knowing that my hubby's brother was getting married in October and that we were both in the wedding party it seemed like a good a point as any to start our TTC efforts after the wedding.

So, fast-forward to January 2012 and we found out that we were indeed pregnant! I was so shocked since I never experienced many symptoms.  Unfortunately this baby wasn't meant to be, it was a chemical pregnancy that was lost at about 5 weeks.  Luckily we were given the all clear from my doctor to continue our efforts.  We are the first cycle after the loss and hoping for good news in the coming months.

So now we look to our future and the family that awaits!
